At JMA, John specializes in wealth management, protection and transfer, often utilizing the advantages of life, disability, and long-term care insurance and annuity products to create strategies tailored for each individual. As an Investment Advisor Representative, he isn’t tied to a particular company or product, and is therefore free to focus solely on the needs and objectives of his clients. By earning his CLU and CAP designations, he fully understands the power of charitable tax planning and how it can help turn involuntary philanthropy (taxes) into voluntary philanthropy (charitable giving) for those interested in giving back.
John began his career in retail sales during high school and eventually managed and then owned his own “Main Street” store. This 10 years as a retailer and consumer of insurance products later fueled his passion for working with individuals and business owners. In the insurance industry he has been a field agent, manager, brokerage manager and advanced sales consultant. He has designed, communicated and administered employee benefit programs and employer sponsored programs. His working knowledge of business gives him a valuable perspective on the importance of employee and executive benefits and the need for planning to achieve one’s desired result.
In addition to spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren, John’s passion is helping others create a legacy by sharing their God-given gifts in a way that is truly meaningful. Outside of the office, he enjoys finding a little relaxation through fishing.
