Early in life, Ann’s parents, who were small business owners, taught her a very important lesson: to take care of your customers and consistently do the right thing. That message continues to resonate with her and is at the heart of JMA Group’s mission and vision.
Ann’s first exposure to the insurance world was working at a family-owned insurance agency, where the culture reinforced her “people first” philosophy. She went on to serve in a variety of retail- and management-related roles before settling back into the insurance and investment world. Not wanting to be tied to one specific company, Ann became a self-employed financial advisor. In addition to having personal clients, she managed and enrolled individuals in employee benefit plans. Here she learned the importance of listening to the client. Today, she takes pride in helping individuals, families and small businesses continue to follow a positive path toward their goals.
Ann is an active wife, mother and “nana.” Outside of the office, her favorite thing to do is spend time with family and friends. She has also spent many hours volunteering at her church and for other organizations. For relaxation, she enjoys working in the garden and being outdoors.
“I collect and keep quotes and sayings in front of me to challenge me to be a better person. It would be difficult for me to pick a favorite, but the theme typically involves putting people first, not things. John and I strive to do just that.”
